Future of Education Conference, June 2013

Florence, Italy | June 13-14, 2013

The Future of Education Conference aims to promote transnational cooperation and share good practice in the field of innovation for Education. It will take place over two days in Florence, Italy during the sunny month of June.

Dr Pamela Atzori, Turnitin’s European Sales Administrator will be leading a workshop and holding a stand to promote the plagiarism detection software and to explain how it can help you to ensure originality in student papers.

As leaders in their respective fields of academia, they will provide invaluable insights into how teachers can foster a culture of honesty and promote integrity within their students’ work.

African Academic Integrity Seminars, May 2013

Cape Town and Johannesburg, SA | May 20 and 24, 2013

Turnitin and Eiffel (Turnitin's regional partner), are very pleased to announce the first ever African Academic Integrity Seminars. These events are to take place on 20 and 24 May 2013 in Cape Town and Johannesburg respectively.

Conference for Digital Resources in Education, 2013

MacKenzie University,São Paulo, Brazil| May 23-25, 2013

More than 300 delegates from universities all over Brazil are expected to attend this important event which will take place over three days, from May 23-25. Turntin will be exhibiting and our regional development manager for Latin America and Brazil, Alice Lupton will be giving a 30 minute presentation of the value and benefits of Turnitin – the world’s leading plagiarism detection software.

Asia Turnitin User Group 2013

The City University, Hong Kong | 28th May

In conjunction with the Conference detailed below, a Turntin Asia User Group is taking place at the City University, Hong Kong on Tuesday 28th May.

The seminar, to be held at the City University, will give you the opportunity to meet current users of the software, who will share their own experiences in addressing plagiarism and implementing Turnitin within their institution. It will also give you an invaluable insight into how Turnitin helps to avoid plagiarism and maintain academic integrity.

The event will be chaired by Robyne Lovelock from Aldis. Keynote speakers are experts in their respective fields:

8th eLearning Forum Asia 2013

29 to 31 May 2013 - Hong Kong -Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU)

With a theme of "Learning Outcomes: impact on next generation learners", the forum is an excellent opportunity for members of the educational community to get together and discuss the issues that matter to them.

Turnitin is exhibiting at this event as well as holding workshops - Dr Cath Ellis and Dr Garry Allan from the User Group will also be speaking.

A major focus of the event will be technologies which can be used to bring about effective improvements in student learning outcomes. Subjects under discussion will include innovative teaching and learning and influence of outcomes on instructional changes.

IPPHEAE Conference 2013

Czech Republic | June 12-13 2013

Following years of research into policies and procedures for tackling plagiairism, the IPPHEAE project is culminating in a major conference this June.

IPPHEAE conference ‘International Conference Plagiarism across Europe and Beyond’ is taking place in the Czech Republic on 12th -13th June 2013 and will be hosted by Mendel University.

The conference aims to look at best practices and strategies, national and local responses to the issue. IPPHEAE has also carried out detailed surveys where university teaching staff students in order to discover their views and experiences of plagiarism.

Gill Rowell, Academic Advisor for Turnitin and Plagiarism Advice will be talking about plagiarism and academic integrity in the UK over the past 10 years. She has expert knowledge in the field and has presented on the subject all over the world.
