Assistant Professor - Strategic leadership, Change Management, Employee Engagement for Faculty of Business: British University in Dubai, UAE

“I love to see students growing in skills and knowledge so when they finish their PhD or their Masters' and they become freelance researchers or they join the university, they really have the skills that are required to go ahead and create value for the community.”

Tamer works at the largest postgraduate research university in the UAE, whose core objective is to equip students with skills and abilities to enable them to make a unique contribution to the global body of knowledge. For Tamer, Turnitin facilitates this positive engagement and allows students to add value by producing research of a high quality:

“I love to see students growing in skills and knowledge so when they finish their PhD or their Masters' and they become freelance researchers or they join the university, they really have the skills that are required to go ahead and create value for the community.”

In practical terms, Turnitin allows Tamer to engage his students by directly aligning his feedback with his marking schemes via the rubric in order to offer valuable suggestions as to how they can further improve and enhance their work. For Tamer, this is one of key underpinning elements of education and research:

“I think education is all about enabling future generations, rather than examining them for the survival of the fittest.”
