Help Center: Viewing Account Join Information
Turnitin account ids and join passwords are e-mailed to the account administrator at the time the account is activated. For privacy and security reasons, Turnitin can only send this information to the e-mail address associated with the Turnitin account administrator. It is the responsibility of the Turnitin account administrator to distribute this information to instructors. Turnitin account administrators can also view this information within their Turnitin administrator accounts.
How to view or modify account join information
1. The account id is listed to the left of the account name on the administrator home page
2. To access the account join password, click on the update icon to the right of the account name
3. The join password is listed second in the account modify screen
4. If you choose to modify the password, click submit to finalize your changes
Additional Information
- Turnitin account join passwords are case sensitive.
- Instructors cannot join consortium accounts. If there are multiple institutions within your account, instructors must join the sub-account which corresponds to their institution.
