As part of their Integrity Zone initiative to strengthen academic integrity on campus, Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) is now partnering with global education technology provider Turnitin for academic integrity and assessment solutions.
The partnership comes shortly after UNNES’ university-wide adoption of Turnitin Feedback Studio in January. UNNES first began using Feedback Studio in 2019 to uphold academic integrity in daily classroom operations and to improve online submission of coursework.
Feedback Studio helps students strengthen their writing skills through personalized, actionable feedback throughout the writing process. It also helps students check for text similarity and provides grammar guidance. UNNES faculty members use Feedback Studio to streamline workflows and provide data-informed, actionable feedback for students to enable authentic learning. The tool works in all classroom types—in-person, remote, and hybrid— helps uphold academic integrity, and promotes original thinking.
The university-wide adoption of Feedback Studio is part of an ongoing UNNES initiative to pursue a Integrity Zone designation, which will help improve academic integrity and elevate the quality of education. The initiative aligns to the national government’s integrity initiative and is being used as a model for future academic integrity strategies across Indonesian universities.
